What is Need2Know?
Need2Know is redaction software plugin for Microsoft Office Word and Excel for versions 2013, 2016 and 2019. The Need2Know plugin allows the user to hide specific areas of text, pictures and formulas from users unauthorised to view them.
The main feature of Need2Know is that allows multi-level redaction levels. This feature allows a user to redact information at different levels so they can only viewed by readers with the right authority.

Need2Know Protecting your data
Need2Know software includes both a plugin for the Office applications (Word and Excel) and supporting server software. The server software is used to configure and maintain Need2Know, including an audit log so you can track who has accessed documents. These logs can be consumed by a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tool, giving organisations the ability to recognise potential security threats.
